On Friday 18th October, the whole of our PPM team embraced 'Wear It Pink' and wore very snazzy pink hi-vis jackets for the day to raise awareness of breast cancer and money for Breast Cancer Now. Money raised helps to fund world breast cancer research and life-changing support.
PPM were really excited to be part of the first ever Talent Connect event which took place in Carlisle City Centre on Saturday 21st September. The event was organised by the Young Carlisle Ambassadors, Carlisle’s next generation of budding business leaders. The Young Ambassador’s wanted to give the young people of the City, and Cumbria as a whole, an opportunity to come together and be inspired, discover high profile career opportunities, take a different look at learning and be involved in creating a bright future for themselves.
Here at PPM we have always been passionate about fairness, inclusion and respect and we are delighted to announce that we have become the first property maintenance company in the UK to be successfully assessed and accredited against the most recent version of CITB’s Be FaIR Framework.
It was another incredible year for the Give a Day to the City initiative and PPM were delighted to be taking part again, helping with a number of projects in the City.
Give a Day 2019 took place on Sunday 30th June through to the 6th July. There were an amazing 43 projects delivered by over 1000 people, helping to make Carlisle the most generous city on Earth. It’s wonderful to see how the projects keep growing in number and scale since Give a Day (GAD) started back in 2015, not only this but people’s enthusiasm and fierce generosity.
Our PPM team joined 99 fellow walkers on Saturday 22nd June to take part in the Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland ‘Step up to the Plate’ Challenge to help raise vital funds for this important local Cumbrian charity.
