The Careers & Enterprise Company Annual Awards 2018 recognise and celebrate inspirational work being done by schools and colleges, employers, volunteers and careers professionals around England.

PPM are a local property maintenance company working predominately with housing associations and councils in Cumbria and Yorkshire. They have their head office in Carlisle and have regional offices in Penrith and Millom. PPM work closely with both primary and secondary schools, providing work experience and apprenticeship opportunities. We also engage with students through organised careers events such as world of work days, speed networking sessions, mock interviews, mentoring programmes and careers fairs.
PPM have worked very closely with key partners such as Inspira and Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership. Our corporate social responsibility work was recognised when we collected the Best Community Involvement Award at last years In Cumbria Business Awards ceremony.
PPM aims to encourage students to join the construction industry and also promotes business administration roles within the business. Particular emphasis is put on encouraging female students to consider construction sector roles as it tends to be a male dominated sector.
The Careers & Enterprise Company was established by government in 2015 to help schools and colleges, employers, funders and careers programme providers to create high impact careers and enterprise support for young people. They aim to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work. We believe it is essential to work closely with the schools and their students as they are our workforce of the future.
