PPM attend Carlisle Skills Fair 2018

PPM were delighted to attend Carlisle Skills Fair on Thursday 25th January at The Sands Centre, Carlisle. Local MP, John Stevenson, hosted the annual skills fair that brought together a number of local training providers, employers and career advisors.

Carlisle Skills Fair gives members of the community the opportunity to find out what's available, what would suit them best and gives them the knowledge to make the right choice for their future - be it further education, apprenticeships or employment. This is the fifth year this successful event has been held and attracted an estimated 2,500 job seekers.

There were around 100 Cumbrian employers in attendance from a number of trades including engineering, manufacturing, health & beauty, construction, higher/further education, food & drink, tourism, child care, accountancy, logistics, Armed Forces and the emergency services to name a few.

PPM Limited were pleased to be a part of the event and had our very own Business Administration apprentice, Charlotte, with us to answer questions about her experience as an apprentice. Charlotte is currently completing her NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin with Carlisle College. We are enthusiastic about providing opportunities for local people and helping to retain talented Cumbrians in the county.
